International Mother Language Day

Happy International Mother Language Day!

A very important day for the awareness on mother languages and their cultural significance. Among other things this day promotes linguistic diversity and international understanding through multilingualism and multiculturalism. Let's take a moment to celebrate and appreciate our common heritage. To all the Mother tongues of the world!

Here is a children's song (originally a poem in "Gaitanaki" (Maypole) - a book by the children's author Zorz Sarri) that celebrates the spirit of multiculturalism. You may find the full song here.
